Where Were You 32 Years Ago Today?
32 years ago today Karol Wojtyla was elected Pope John Paul II in Rome. According to Timothy George, back in Cracow none other than Billy Graham was preaching in Woytyla's diocese at the very time the conclave was going on. Woytyla was open to Evangelicals in a way that liberal Catholics and liberal Protestants were not. Billy Graham and John Paul II were two of the greatest Christian leaders of the Twentieth Century.
