Overpopulation is a Dangerous Myth That Threatens Our Future Prosperity

Overpopulation is a myth. Many countries today have aging populations and our economic future is threatened by a lack of people. By the middle of this century, world population will peak and then, instead of leveling off it will start declining dangerously. The basic facts of life are explained in the following video from the Population Research Institute.

This second brief video explains the origins of the overpopulation myth and how it has been disproven over and over again. But because the myth of overpopulation provides a rationale for social control by the "experts" of the bureaucratic class, it continues to be promoted as if it were true.

The world needs more people. Share these videos with your children and with others.

Note: If you wish to learn more about the facts behind the myth of overpopulation, I recommend Philip Longman's The Empty Cradle: How Falling Birth Rates Threaten World Prosperity (and What to Do About It). Or go to the website of The Population Research Institute.

Hi, I was pointed to your blog by Francis Beckwith after inquiring of him where to find good philosophical reasoning for the position that the Catholic church takes on contraception. I agree with it for many philosophical and Biblical reasons, and wanted to study up on it a little more. I haven't been able to read much about it yet, but plan on visiting your posts that deal with it. I think it's something the evangelical church needs to hear.

I'm also enjoying your other posts as well. Keep up the good work.
